Tonglen4All was born from a single, defiant step toward a summit I wasn’t supposed to reach.
In 2024, I planned a backcountry hiking trip to Colorado - a week in the wild, a long-awaited breath after divorce, menopause, cancer, and the quiet ache of single motherhood. I trained for months. I was ready. But days before the trip, someone I trusted doubted me. Doubted my strength. My worth. My ability.
So I did what I had never fully done before:
I stood up.
Against their doubt. Against mine.
Against every voice - internal and external - that ever told me I couldn’t.
And I climbed that mountain. Alone. Scared. Determined.
That summit changed everything.
It wasn’t just a hike. It was a reckoning. A quiet, sacred moment where my body, mind, and soul exhaled into the Colorado air and whispered, “This is home.”
I saw my life clearly: the people I love, the work I want to do, the risks I’m willing to take.
I realized I’ve never met a mountain I couldn’t summit - no matter how slow, no matter how painful.
That trip became the gateway to Tonglen4All.

Tonglen4All is a celebration of effort.
Of the quiet victories. The sweaty, tear-streaked, soul-shifting moments that happen on trails, in courtrooms, in hospital rooms, in living rooms.
We create summit flags, stickers, and soon-to-be affirmation cards, and trail journals to honor those moments.
Maybe you finished a local hike.

Maybe you simply got out of bed when everything felt heavy.
